We were never intended to 'do life' alone, and that is especially true when it comes to being a parent. We realize we need each other, and therefore, are dedicated to helping you raise your children to know Jesus and His love for them, so we would like to partner with you in this commitment.
WHAT IS BABY DEDICATION?
Baby dedication is a time, typically during one of our 'family worship' gatherings, when our church family comes around your family, and we all commit to seeing your children raised up to know Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him throughout their life.
IS THIS THE SAME AS BAPTISM?
No, baby dedication is neither a form of salvation or baptism. We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience your child will participate in once God, by His grace, draws them to a life transforming belief in Jesus Christ through faith. At that point, water baptism is a step that publicly demonstrates their new life in Christ.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN BABY DEDICATION?
Membership: Although we do not believe the dedication of your child is a part of their salvation, we do believe in the significance of the commitment you as the parents, and the larger church family are making through this process. Therefore, for the sake of our diligence in this commitment, we ask that parents participating in baby dedication are active members of our Northstar Pulaski family.

Married Couples: An important part of life as a follower of Jesus in our Northstar Pulaski family is the pursuit of a Christ-centered and biblical lifestyle. While our heart is not to create a set of legalistic regulations, we do strive for intentionality when it comes accountability and disciple making. This includes embracing the biblical teaching of creation and the covenant relationship of marriage (between a man and a woman) that God established as a gift to humanity through Adam and Eve.
Single Parents: Baby dedication is certainly not limited to married couples. In reality, as a single parent, it may be even more important for the church family to come around and support you as we plant gospel seeds of hope along your child's path.
