Bible Reading Convos (Galatians 1-3)
This week, our Bible Reading journey takes us into Galatians 1-3. Here are the Formation Questions and Rule of Life practices:
➡️ Galatians 1-3 → The Gospel Creates a New People
SURRENDERED TO JESUS:
1. Where does the approval of others still influence your obedience to Jesus? (Gal 1:10)
2. What part of your life are you still trying to remain in control of rather than surrendering it to Jesus? What would actual surrender look like this week? (Gal 2:20)
SENT ON MISSION:
3. Who is one person already near you whom you could intentionally bless this week? (Gal 3:8-9)
4. Paul’s encounter with Jesus became a calling toward others. What have you received from Jesus—grace, freedom, forgiveness, hope, generosity—that someone else may now need to experience through you? (Gal 1:15-16)
COMMITTED TO ONE ANOTHER:
5. Who do you consider is in 'your circle', and who are you around frequently that is not in it? (Gal 2:11-14)
6. If Jesus alone determines who belongs in His family, what should change in the way your community shares tables, sees overlooked people, and responds to need? What can you personally begin changing? (Gal 2:9-10; 3:26-29)
B.O.L.D. LIVING RULE OF LIFE:
(Choose one challenge to practice intentionally this week)
BE WITH & BLESS OTHERS
➡️ Open your table. Choose a person or household outside your normal relational pattern and spend intentional time with them. (Don’t make them a project. Eat together, listen, ask questions, and learn their story). Be praying for ways they can experience Jesus through you
OBSERVE & OBEY THE HOLY SPIRIT
➡️ Notice the moments when you feel pressure to prove yourself, defend your reputation, appear spiritual, win approval, or compare yourself with someone else. Pause & pray: “Holy Spirit, remind me who I am because of Jesus. What would freedom and obedience look like right now?” Then notice any differences.
LOVE & LIVE LIKE JESUS
➡️ Read Galatians 2:20 each morning & reflect: “If Christ truly lives in me, how might He want to love & live like Him in this situation?” At the end of each day, process: any moment where His life became visible through you...any moment where you resisted Him...and A thing you want to practice differently tomorrow
DEMONSTRATE & DECLARE THE KINGDOM OF GOD
➡️ Look & listen for someone who believes they are beyond the help or love of God. Seek ways to extend grace to them (ie. offer hospitality, listen, encourage, etc) The goal is to help them catch a glimpse of God’s Kingdom through your presence?
Pray over these things this week and humbly share the journey of living them out when you gather with your MC
